Welcome to Jamestown, Nebraska, a rural town surrounded by miles and miles of the most healthy corn crops in the United States. Jametown, however, holds a terrible curse which haunts its civilization. The children.
Many of Jamestown's children have forsaken the adults and live in the surrounding cornfields. Believing adults to be the true evil and impurity, they began to slaughter them as human sacrifices to their lord, Satan. In exchange, Satan granted some of these children supernatural abilities. In addition, he promised them that should they purge Jamestown of it's evil and continue making sacrifices, he would in turn grant all of his loyal followers the gift of immortality so that they would never have to age into adulthood.
It all started 2 Years ago when a young girl named Lilith McEntire was molested and then bludgeoned to death by her stepfather, Harrold Johnson. The man stuffed her body into a potato sack and then buried her within the cornfields surrounding the town, and with little remorse, he went about living his daily life. However, every night, he would hear the girl's voice in his dreams. Her ghost haunted him. If he did not confess, she would kill him. It wasn't long before haunting in his nightmares ended, and whatever fears he had were finally washed away.
However, a couple months later, another child named Jaime Stark went missing. For 3 days he was gone. Parties searched for him, but no one was able to find him. On the third day, however, he emerged from the cornfields. His mother came out from a crowd and hugged him. She asked him where he had been, to which he replied, "I was playing with Lilllith." This left everyone baffled. Everyone knew the girl to be dead.
After this, word began to spread between children. They would go into the cornfields, and when their parents asked them where they had gone, they would always answer, "We went to play with Lilith." Parents became weary of the cornfields and began to forbid their children from going into those cornfields, however many children continued to go and play with Lilith.
Worried, Harrold went into the cornfield to the very spot where he had buried Lilith's corpse. He dug it up only to find the very potato sack he had put down there was empty. He ran back into town, knowing there could be some truth to the claim that Lilith was still alive. Still, he couldn't fathom how she could have lived through bludgeoning so harsh that it left her with a broken neck and a cracked skull.
On his way back into town, Harrold ran into a group of children sitting in a circle within a cornfield. Satanic symbols were written on the ground in blood. Standing at the center of the circle was none other than Lilith. "I shall be avenged," she told him. Her eyes glowed crimson red. Frightened, Harrold fled back into town. He confessed everything that he had done to the local law enforcement and was imprisoned for his crimes.
The next morning, Harrold was found slaughtered in his jail cell. Around his body were many different footprint trails, though all of them had one thing in common. They were all the size of children's feet. The murderers had also left a note written in the man's blood upon the stone walls of the cell:
"Jamestown's sinners to be purged. Beware the Children of the Corn."
Nearly every day since then an adult has gone missing from Jamestown, taken by the Children of the Corn. They are never found. Children are forbidden from going into the cornfields by their parents, and many of those who do end up joining the ranks of the Children of the Corn. Adults do not leave their homes past nightfall, as that is when the Children of the Corn are strongest. That is when they take their victims.
