The teen had just walked out of the supermarket with a couple bags of rather crucial groceries for the house. Not to say that they were fresh out of food, but these were some items he thought would be necessary throughout the week. Either way, it wasn't like things like food were the most important thoughts upon people's minds. There were more...pressing issues at hand.
He wasn't afraid of them, nor would he ever be. It didn't matter if they had his faggot ass little brother or not. As long as he still had his own will, he'd never be taken down alive and his mind, his very essence would never be corrupted. Especially since he always carried his step father's twin pistols on him at all times. Anyone stupid enough to try him would definitely be staring down the barrels of a couple of Colt 45s.
Dmitri pulled out a single doughnut from one of the bags, allowing the tasty morsel of food to enter his mouth before taking a gracious bite of it. Ah, how fun it was to bask in the glory of the sun without a worry in the world. There were those who were afraid to do so, yet not him, not ever.
What did it matter if they kept trying to recruit him? It didn't work the first time nor the second, therefore it wouldn't work any other time. Hopefully they got the right idea by this point.
"I fucking hate this town." The thought randomly came out of his mouth. After being away for so long before the whole incident with the children, he actually was at a military school, sentenced away by the order of his own stepfather. The only thing worse than the military school was living in this secluded shithole.
Especially..since the streets were so desolate..

She had been watching him for some time. Following him through the store. Her eyes were always focused on him. This boy had something special about him. Lilith could sense it in his soul, and she knew that he also meant something to Jaime. This boy would make a good ally. Lilith could already tell, and they needed some more older kids in their little group as well.
In any case, Lilith had exited the shop when she saw him get in line. From there, she waited for him to exit, and now having seen him go out of the door, she knew that was her cue. She began walking back toward the door and towards him, pretending to mind her own business. She'd look away and to the right, as though she were reading something on one of the nearby stores, and right after, the two would bump into each other, shoulder to shoulder, somewhat hard.
"Oh! I'm so sorry! I'm such a clutz!" She'd say. Her cheeks turned red to show some degree of embarrassment.
"I didn't mean to! Are you okay?!"

He was just minding his business when someone had the nerve to collide into him, causing the teen to reel back some. However, he managed to regain his balance and stop himself from falling but at a small price. What was that price? Well, his prized doughnut had landed upon the ground with a rather silent thud.
Who had the nerve to get in his way? Dmitri's fiery gaze met that of a rather idiotic girl. Of course, it was just like a meat bag of estrogen to do something so stupid, so typically female. He looked at her with such disdain, one could almost liken it to hatred. Didn't she know how expensive a box of a dozen doughnuts costs? She was out of her damn mind.
"You dumbass. Watch where you're walking." The young man said, scowling at the girl. She owed him for that doughnut, but he'd let it slide this time. If she crossed him once more, he'd bury a lead bullet into the depths of that skull of hers. Though he doubted he could do such a thing...not with such a big ass forehead obstructing her brain.
How...unattractive.
"Whatever. You owe me a doughnut, whore."

Dumbass?
That wasn't nice. Lilith's expression changed to one of sorrow. Trailing this boy was no longer fun or exciting. He was mean! nonetheless, she knew that there was still something about him. That much wasn't going to change so easily or so quickly. Maybe she'd try just a little bit more and see what happened.
"It was an accident. I didn't mean to," she'd repeat once again for his understanding, though it didn't seem like he understood that just yet. Or maybe he was just so mean that he didn't care at all. She took a few steps back and held up her hands defensively.
"I can buy you a new one. It's not that big of a deal." she'd repeat.

"It's whatever." He honestly stopped caring about the whole doughnut thing by this point, though he was also tired of talking to the bitch who made him drop it. There wasn't anything she had to offer him, therefore she could easily be ignored. Maybe if she was more attractive, he would have paid more attention to her, if any at all.
"If you keep being klutzy, you won't last very long when the sun goes down." The young man said, hinting at the serious situation their town was currently in. Yes, stupid people would be taken out one by one, that's how things were in this sickening town. If she were not to pay attention to her surroundings, she'd easily fall prey to them. But that wasn't his problem, it never was when it regarded other people.

Lilith could easily read the boy's disdain for her. He was cold, even by Lilith's standards. She didn't care for adults, and worshiped Satan, yes, but she still knew how to be polite and get along with people. That was one of her gifts, and that was why she was so useful and functional as a leader. This boy, however, was so rash and quick to think of things. She placed her hands on her hips and looked away from him momentarily.
"Children are never harmed... and I'm only 15," Lilith would say to him with a coy smile. She wondered what he thought about the Children of the Corn.
"Heck, I could even go and join them."

"Being unharmed yet still becoming a mindless drone sounds like an oxymoron." To him, a mind was an individual's most useful, most important asset. Without individuality, life meant absolutely nothing. Not only that, the fact that children were only harming adults did not make it right. Even he knew that.
"Then go with them. Maybe they'll rot your brain to the point where you can only do one thing. Such a throw corn seeds everywhere, like a mindless fool." Dmitri's words were harsh, extremely critical and relentless. Although he did not have a religious bone in his body, he still understood that such activities weren't normal. Then again, he wasn't normal either.
"Honestly, I could care less about what they do. As long as they leave me alone. I have no quarrel with them."
Though, if they ruined his way off life, then he'd retaliate. Or if it even seemed that way. An implication that they were after him would send him into a killing frenzy rivaling that of the most insane of terrorists.

Lilith held up her hands defensively once again such that the palms of her hands were facing outward. She could easily see now the way that he felt about the Children of the Corn as though he were almost getting offended by what she was saying. Still, she wasn't going to just let it go or leave him alone just yet. All she needed to do was plant that seed.
"Hey now! I never said I wanted to join them. All I'm saying is it can't be that bad," she repeated once again. She let her arms fall back down to her sides and took a deep breath before looking him in the eyes again. Her expression revealed some nervousness once again.
"Can you imagine what a civilization with no adults would be like? One of all children? Children are so innocent and pure. Adults are lecherous, greedy and command children around. My father treats me like my opinions don't even matter."

The teen shrugged, not caring either way whether or not she wanted to be with the corn kids. It hardly bothered him at all, though he did think of her as being a coward if that were the case. That's why kids joined the children of the corn, simply because they could no longer live in reality. Such fools.
"You're implying that every adult is an asshole like your father. Overlooking the fact that most adults are decent people in their own right. Not to mention that not all kids are all puppy dogs and cupcakes." This was how all the kids in town were starting to act, slowly being dragged to the side of pure lunacy, stupidity in its most pure form. It was disgusting, it made him want to puke right there and then. It actually made him happy at times that he got out of this shitty town and was receiving a decent education.
The youth sighed, looking over at the girl once more. "You sound like one of those brain washed kids already. Next you're going to claim that all fathers touch their daughters inappropriately or that all mothers drown their children in lakes." The tone of his voice was rather condescending, hostile even, although his eyes conveyed absolutely no emotion whatsoever. He felt so indifferent about it all. The only thing that upset him was the fact that people were being so stupid, specifically the children.
Stupidity. All of it. Therefore, if he had the opportunity, he'd erase it all.

Every adult was evil. It was something that Lilith had accepted by now. And with Dmitri's statement about every father molesting his daughter, she could feel herself growing angry. Her fists clinched. Life was unfair. Adults were the cause. They always acted as though they were in charge of everything. They were controlling and expected children to do whatever they were told. That was why they all deserved to die.
"All adults do it. All adults treat kids as inferiors. It's the way society is and has always been," Lilith said with a newfound passion. It was obvious at this point that she was getting quite upset. She was growing angry.
"But... maybe you're right too... Umm... What's your name?"

"Whatever. I don't see the big deal. You only have to listen to them for eighteen years of your life. After that, they can go fuck themselves." The teen would say rather defiantly, a bit annoyed at the girl at this point.
Why was she so stuck on the whole adult-child idea in society? It wasn't much of a big deal elsewhere in the world, yet here it was like some kind of angering topic for many.
The boy simply looked at the girl, eyebrow raised. Most people knew who he was, especially since the town was so small. Though he was known by many names, Dmitri, Alex, D, the sheriff's bad ass stepson, etc etc. However, he thought simple would be better for this occasion. "Dmitri Evans. Not like it matters. You'll be dragged away by the children any day now."
He'd say rather pessimistically, not really caring either way. As for her name, he couldn't care less. Honestly, he didn't give a fuck about anyone but himself for the most part. Not even his own family got a sense of love or any other positive emotion out him. He hated all three of those faggots. And for this nameless girl with the big forehead? He cared even less for her.

His lack of interest quickly became apparent to her. Lilith crossed her arms. She had been waiting up until now for him to ask her name, and she had been prepared to answer. Now that she had resided in the body, she could quickly draw upon memories or knowledge from the girl at a moment's notice. She hadn't scanned through everything just yet, but it wouldn't be difficult to figure out her name. In any case, it didn't seem like he was even going to bother asking.
She didn't say anything else to him, she just looked away from him and at the ground thinking of what else to say. Her ideas were running quite short though. Persuading him wouldn't be easy at all. However, after a second or two, she did get an idea, and the idea would be transferred into his head.
Well, I guess she is kind of cute... and she has a nice rack. Lilith sent the thoughts into his mind. He'd hear the thoughts as though he thought them himself, even though Lilith was the one who projected them. Of course, this didn't mean she was controlling his mind to make him think it was true. She only put the thought in his mind... and nothing more.

Hm. Cute...? Nice rack? The teen had to do a once over of the girl with his eyes, blinking a couple times and then looking at her figure once more. Now that he thought about it rather deeply...she wasn't that ugly, at least from the neck down. Her body in itself was decent, it was almost impossible to fuck that up at their age. However, the rack was...average... Not to mention that...forehead...
He wondered how he even first arrived to the conclusion that she was anything but...odd looking. Even Dmitri wasn't sure of that one, though he supposed he could have easily gotten his way with her if he simply kept talking to her. But she seemed so stupid, it hardly seemed feasible. Not to mention it was still daylight out, he'd never hit that with the lights on. Not with that forehead staring at him.
"Eh, so what's your name?" The teen said, completely oblivious to the fact that he had been manipulated to stay in this conversation just a bit longer.
"Got any friends you hang with?" She may have been not his type, but usually girls of the six variety had friends who were eights or nines. If anything, she was a gateway girl. She could possibly lead him to greener pastures.

"Samantha Smith," Lilith answered. The name was one of the easiest things to determine after taking a body. It was written all over her memories and her past. In any case, Lilith didn't think she'd need to access much of the girl's information as of now. It wouldn't be necessary, though it wouldn't be such a difficult task to regain it either.
"Though, you should keep your eyes up here," Lilith would say, gesturing from her lower body where he had been looking earlier and pointed up to her own eyes. She smiled though to keep the mood soft.
"And not really, I'm not allowed to go to school. Haven't been able to go for over a year now, because my father is afraid that I'll get drawn into the cornfields or something like that," Lilith told him, though this was a true fact she had taken from Samantha.
"I hang out with my sister a lot though."

Samantha Smith, it didn't get more generic and boring than that. Though, that's how most people's names were in this town. He was grateful that her name wasn't Sally, otherwise he probably would have died from laughing so hard at the lameness. That inkling of a joke almost caused him to smirk, however, he'd hold it in.
"Eh. I wasn't looking at much anyway." Dmitri would reply quite truthfully. He didn't see anything he really wanted from her, at least not when it came to that. Dmitri did find it funny how females all believed that had something special going on for themselves. Almost as if they had a one-of-a-kind appeal.
"Sounds lame." He hardly listened to her as she spoke, seemingly looking through her as she uttered every painstakingly boring word. As for her sister, he wasn't interesting. He'd just assume she looked like Samantha, which wouldn't be much of a good thing. "You've got every aspect of a rather shitty and boring life going on."
