The teen was sitting down, kneeling upon the grass in front of his father's grave, literally staring at the tombstone. Today marked the day of his death, yet no one but himself came to put flowers upon his grave or even seemed to remember his death or rather, his life. His mother had long since forgotten his father, yet Dmitri hadn't, not completely.
He could vaguely remember when his first time eating ice cream, back in the parlor with his father. They had a good time that day, had lots fun, despite the fact his mom was absent. She was always absent in his most favorite of memories. Maybe that's why neither could relate to each other. She knew nothing about him. And Dmitri wished he knew nothing of his mother.
Neither existed to each other, not anymore.
The fact that they were related was disgusting. The very idea that he had a mother and a brother made him sick to his stomach every single day. However, they weren't his family. Not ever. His only real family member died, along with everything he was.
He remembered how devastated his mother had been. Yet, he also remembered how quickly she moved on with that bastard and had Jaime.
It made him so sick.
So now, he sat in the graveyard, alone, eating a small container of ice cream. Eating at the ice cream parlor was their thing on Saturdays, yet he hardly ate it anymore. It just...didn't taste as good.
"I don't even like cookie dough ice cream..." That was his father's favorite. Although he didn't like it very much, it tasted somewhat good on this day. Every year he'd each a container of that flavor as a reminder that his father existed.
He looked back at the church which was now somewhat far in the distance, considering the cemetery was behind it. Looking ahead, he gazed at the cornfields which lie just beyond the gates of the cemetery. He hated this place. This town. Everything about it. But mainly, his "family".
"You fucking left me in this shithole with that bitch. Selfish." He'd say out loud, referring to his father.

"I told you... adults are selfish."
Lilith now stood behind Dmitri. He seemed rather preoccupied, and she had done her best to mask her presence so that he wouldn't see her coming. In any case, now she was standing, bare as always, a couple feet behind him. She felt sorry for him... almost, though it was a pity that he cared so much about what some adult thought. Especially when immortality was just around the bend.
Lilith crossed her arms behind her back as she waited for him to turn around and greet her. Though, with the grief he was going through, she knew it was possible that he would not do that. It really didn't matter either way.
"We would never leave you behind," she said, taking a step forward and reaching for his hand. She'd grab it and hold it in hers.
"Together forever."

A voice came from behind him, a familiar voice. Yes, it was the voice of that girl, that demon. This wasn't the first time they had encountered one another, nor did Dmitri eliminate her as a threat. However, he felt somehow comfortable around her as well, only slightly. Enough not to be startled or anything else. If she were to attempt to kill him, that was fine too, it really didn't bother him that someone could have malicious feelings toward him.
Somehow, he knew that she wouldn't even attempt to. Never leave him? That was a lie, everyone left his side at some point. No one stuck it out with him. He was forever alone. That thought had been embedded within his mind, never to move, always there. No matter how times someone told him they'd stick it out with him, they always ended up leaving him in the dust.
A slight smirk spread across his face, a condescending one. Normally he had a witty retort to such comments, yet he stayed silent for a moment longer.
"What's the point?" The teen would say in a low tone of voice, glancing over his shoulder to look at her hand and then turn back around to ignore it.
There was nothing she could offer him that would make him go with her. Or so he believed. He still wasn't sure himself, not when his mind could easily be swayed.

What's the point? he was always the type to get straight to the point. It was almost annoying, but she liked him anyway. She couldn't figure out why, but there was something attractive about his particular personality which she simply couldn't decide upon. She held her hand onto his and gently caressed his palm with her thumb.
"Marry me." She said it as a command rather than a proposal. Of course, the two didn't know each other at all, but she considered it'd be fun regardless. She knew his brother, and she liked his brother too.

The teen had long since abandoned the majority of his emotions, only to survive and nothing more. It would help him to become the soldier that he wished to become, to fight for the country and prove his existence on the field of combat. That was the only thing he had to look forward to. Hopefully that didn't sound too pathetic. A slight smirk came across his face as the thought crossed his mind, though it quickly faded.
He looked at the girl's thumb caressing his hand. Why was she being so nice? And why was he being so casual around her? Wasn't she supposed to be evil? Wasn't she supposed to be the one changing the kids in town into mindless freaks and killing off the adults? Of course she was. Yet here she was, being so kind to him. And then he was blindsided by what she said next.
"what..." The teen said in a rather hushed tone, unable to comprehend what was said, though he knew exactly what she said.
"Give me a good reason and I will." He knew she couldn't, therefore, it was basically a decline of her offer. Though, if she could say something profound...he wasn't quite sure what he'd do. Not that he would really marry a little girl...or could.
His thoughts were jumbled up to the point where logic no longer existed. Yet he was playful and curious enough to want to hear what she had to say next.

Lilith continued caressing her thumb against his palm. She didn't even take a moment to look at him. She was certain he'd come to agreement with her. Nonetheless, she could tell even now that he didn't think she'd come up with a reason with what little telepathy she had. Still, she wasn't disheartened. She'd get him eventually.
"Our child will be great," Lilith answered to him. She wasn't sure if he'd need much more reason than that. That sounded as though it was proficient to her. He didn't understand the necessity though. He hadn't been swayed. Dmitri didn't understand His will.
"Our child will cement our place on this Earth. Immortality. Eternal Youth. All in His favor."

A smirk slid across his face rather smoothly, almost as if he had heard something with a bit of truth in her voice. "True. Only because I have the blood of my father running through my veins. And it would as well." His arrogance was justified, at least to him. Simply because he believed his father to be a great man, a man worth praising unlike that bastard of a stepfather he had.
He'd pull her arm a bit, too pull her down to him. Dmitri's willpower was so...diminished, he could hardly stop himself. "I don't care about that shit. Immortality." Not one bit, not even an inkling. Not only did he not believe in that religious shit, but he wanted no part in it. Besides, immortality was lame.
Being mortal was all humans had, it was what made life interesting. At least that's what he felt from his standpoint. "Death is what makes life so brilliant. That's what I want, to die in glorious hail of gunfire. To kill as many enemies of our country as physically possible. My death will prove that I was ever alive. Yes, death is glorious...Wouldn't it be boring if I shot myself in the head and kept living? What's the fun in that?"
Life was a rush where any insignificant moment could result in someone's death. That's how his father left this world and his father as well and his father's father. Life was an unsuspecting rush where death was around the corner.
Death was glorious. Death was awesome. Death was fun. Death is what all people end up doing at some point.
Most of all, he wanted to see if heaven or hell existed. Dying was the only way to figure that out.
Life was an experiment. Death was the end result. As simple as that.

Lilith listened to him carefully. All of this time, she held a very serious expression. She wanted to hear his reasons for accepting or declining her hand in marriage. It was almost depressing, his answer was. Then again, she hadn't really gotten an answer. He avoided the question completely. So sad.
"Then death shall come to you as you please," Lilith answered him. She couldn't understand why he would want to be mortal when he could have a choice of when or if he wanted to die. Nonetheless, she wouldn't concern herself with his petty reasons any further. All that she knew was that she wanted him.
"Just come with me then. I'll teach you so much... and.. help me have a child. I promise I will let you leave. Just come to see things for youself. I will show you the true reality of life and death."

"Fine." The teen said without further protest, answering so simply, so content with his own answer. He had no problem with that, not at all. Why should he? It sounded so crazy, yet his life was a jumbled up bunch of bullshit. Furthering complicating his life meant nothing to him anymore. Anyways, it was life's stupid choices that made it interesting.
He wanted to see exactly where this lead and where he'd end up if he did this. Either way, he refused to become a soulless fool like the other kids in town. Dmitri had the resolve to kill himself if such a fate were almost inevitable unless he did such a thing.
"I'll teach you something as well." Dmitri said rather coolly, though he was hinting at something a bit more mature.
Dmitri would look away from her for a moment, looking up at the sky for a moment. "Is this right?" He questioned his own morality for a moment before quickly dismissing the whole thought.

Convincing him to come along with her hadn't been as difficult as she knew it could have been. That was fortunate, and upon seeing the temptation she was about to put forth, there was no way that he could deny the fate she was going to offer him. It would be better than any life he could have imagined having in Jamestown. Anything he could or would have wanted would be his. That was how she felt.
"Then come with me," she would say, now completely ignoring his question. She continued to hold his hand and began walking him in the direction of the cornfields. She needed to be careful not to be noticed here. She didn't want anyone else to see her.

He had quickly gotten up, allowing himself to be guided away from the cemetery. Yes, he allowed himself to be pulled away from his father, only this one time.... Only once. As disrespectful as it was, he hoped his father could have forgiven him, just this once.
It almost felt as though he was being guided to hell, yet this was what he wanted for some reason. There would be no fighting it any further, allowing himself to walk toward the forest of corn along with Lilith. He knew that he'd no longer be the same by the time he had reemerged from the cornfields. Yet this was all fine with him, he no longer cared.
The teen was like a lost puppy, being guided to wherever Lilith was going to take him. The path of misery guided him to most oddest of places, though he no longer cared where he ended up for the most part. He never really did. No one would care that he was gone, not even his mother. She was too busy crying over Jaime...
"Where are we going?" He inquired rather calmly, as if he were in some kind of trance of sorts.

To Lilith, Dmitri seemed so uptight. He didn't know what was going to come, but that was always the way that it was with kids on their first time going into the corn. They didn't know how to play and they didn't know how to have fun. Oh well, she'd teach him in due time after he did this for her.
"To the playground, of course," she explained to him casually. She simply continued to lead him, now a good distance in front. She was rather anxious right now to take him and hopeful that he was as anxious as well, though he really didn't seem it.

"Oh..." It was then he became slightly nervous, yet only for a moment. He wasn't afraid for what was going to come next, he wasn't afraid of anything. Maybe that was his problem, his lack of certain emotions, certain feelings, certain grasp of simple concepts. Things like that didn't matter much to him though, not anymore, he was much too far gone to care.
The only true fear he had was living a long, meaningless life where he was continually unhappy and was just a simple, cookie cutter human being in a sea of faceless people. A familiar churning occurred in his stomach, that disgusting feeling that he couldn't shake. That previous thought, it made him sick to where he almost couldn't stand. Yet, she kept guiding him.
"What's there?" He asked, rather ignorant of all details concerning "the playground". Granted, it didn't sound like a positive place, yet he continued to go there. "Nevermind, that doesn't matter...I've been wondering. Do you actually like me?"
The details surrounding the playground didn't matter since they'd be there eventually, he'd see for himself what it was like. Such a stupid question. Such a silly idiot he was.
Though he wondered what Lilith thought of him. If anything at all.
This was probably a set-up...Oh well, if it was, then it didn't really matter. It just made things more interesting.

Post by Father Liam Anderson on Jul 22, 2011 1:40:01 GMT -5
Anderson had been tending to dealings within the church for a short time before he noticed the young Dmitri out in the cemetery and decided to watch the boy. He wasn't getting any strange feeling or anything of the sort but as he didn't trust anyone under the age of 18 he decided to keep his watch upon him. It was then that he saw her.
The girl just gave off the aura of evil and Anderson knew of her appearance as he had been given the information upon his arrival and even before hand by the leaders of Section XIII. His teeth began to grind as he watched the two begin to speak and upon noticing that the boy appeared to be going with her, well that was the last straw for him.
He made his way to the side door so as not to alert the girl to his presence but as he came around, keeping himself in the shadows, the light began to reflect off of the large silver cross hanging from his neck and off of his glasses. As the 6'4" father came around the corner his voice began to ring out in the almost evening air.
"Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and for thy possession, the ends of the earth. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron. Thou shalt dash them in pieces, like a potters vessel. Be wise now therefore ye kings. Be admonished ye judges of the earth. Serve the lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the son lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, though his wrath be kindled but a little."
Keeping himself within the shadows two large Bayonets would appear from within his coat sleeves and fall into his hands. After a moment he would quickly bring them together in an odd cross. "Amen..." With that the father would begin to walk towards the pair, though he would reach the boy first, and place himself between the two. "Boy, you're a fool if ya think going with her is the right choice... She is nothing but the Devil's whore..."
His eyes locked upon the small girl but within them wasn't the smallest hint of fear or weakness. To Anderson the girl was a demonic presence and that meant she would be cut down without question... Such were the ways of this man. "This can be over with one swing of my sword... You may look like a little girl but you are nothing but a demon and you shall be cleansed from this world in the name of God almighty...." ((OOC: Reference images. First appearing (minus the two blades)Blades crossing))

Lilith soon heard the voice of someoen approaching. Such an ugly voice as well, though this would be because he was reciting a prayer, though in English rather than it's origin of Latin. Thus, she wouldn't be affected much. But... something that she did feel was a sudden burning sensation. It brought her to her knees. It was his cross!
"ARRRGH! THE PAIN!" She cried as she keeled over onto her knees. She was on the ground, crying in pain. She could feel it. Her entire body was burning.
